The turn-key based rehabilitation agreement for the 200 MW 1st unit of the Hartha Power Plant was signed in Basra on December 21, 2017 between GAMA Power Systems – MHPS Consortium and the Iraqi Ministry of Electricity, General Directorate of Electrical Energy Production (GDEEP). The project, which will be realized with JICA financing, is planned to be completed in 2020. We are delighted that Hartha U1 will be our third project in Iraq, which will start following the Hartha U4 project’s delivery to the employer in December 2017.
At the event organized due to GE’s 70th year in Turkey, at the panel “The ones who inspire digital transformation in Turkey” moderated by the Chairwoman of the GE Turkey Executive Board Canan Özsoy, GAMA Holding Executive Board Deputy Chairman Arif Özozan shared his experience regarding digital transformation and GAMA’s vision. In his speech, Özozan stated “We have been cooperating with GE for many years in various sectors via the Predix platform. We created the digital twin of our Kırıkkale Central Anatolian Power Plant and with preventive maintenance and simulations made the plant competitive, environmentally friendly and efficient.”
The inauguration of the Yamal Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) Production Plant in the North Pole, Yamal-Nenetsk Autonomous Region, took place on December 8, 2017 with an official ceremony and was attended by the Russian President Vladimir Putin. GAMA Industry and Renaissance Industrial Plants Construction Industry and Trade Inc.’s joint venture REGA JV also took part in the construction of the plant.
