GAMA Enerji
Among Türkiye’s first Build–Operate–Transfer (BOT) projects, the Birecik Dam and Hydroelectric Power Plant, the Marmara Ereğlisi / Thrace Natural Gas Combined Cycle Power Plant, and the İzmit Yuvacık Dam and Urban and Industrial Water Treatment and Supply projects laid the foundations of GAMA Enerji through investment initiatives undertaken in 1995. Building on this accumulated experience, GAMA Enerji was established in 2002 and has since evolved into a business development and investment company operating at both national and international levels in the fields of energy and water infrastructure.
Through its subsidiaries and affiliates, GAMA Enerji manages a diversified portfolio in energy generation and water infrastructure, carrying out energy production activities through wind and run-of-river and dam-type hydroelectric power plants in Turkey, while conducting water supply operations under the DIWACO project in Jordan.
GAMA Enerji’s subsidiaries and affiliated companies in Turkey encompass significant projects in the areas of energy generation and water supply. The Company’s shareholding structure consists of GAMA Holding A.Ş. with a 50.5% stake, Global Power Enerji Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. with a 30% stake, the International Finance Corporation with a 14.5% stake, and IFC GIF Holding I Coöperatief U.A. with a 5% stake.
