GAMA Holding

GAMA, which started its operations in 1959, founded Fenni and Gama İnşaat Grupmanı Ltd. in 1962  in order to operate in the fields of mechanical, electrical and instrumentation assembly, which at that time was only done by foreign companies, and undertook the representation of “Babcock and Wilcox”, an American company considered the inventor of the steam boilers used in thermal power plants.
With this structure, GAMA aimed to focus on technology-based industrial plant construction, primarily power plants, which were not built by Turkish companies until that date. As a subcontractor of Babcock Wilcox in 1963, GAMA successfully completed the boiler installation of Mersin Thermal Power Plant. GAMA immediately after this success became the first Turkish company to obtain competency in industrial plant construction from the World Bank and with this competency undertook the general assembly of the 4 × 25 MW Mersin Thermal Power Plant in 1964 and therefore opened the era of the turnkey industrial plant construction in Turkey and became the first energy contractor of Turkey.

The firm with its increasing experience constructed power plants, petroleum, cement, petrochemical and gas plants, factories, high-rise buildings, water treatment plants and transmission lines, bridges and performed various infrastructure constructions, and has contributed to Turkey’s development and industrialization efforts.

Since the beginning of the 1970s with the experience gained domestically, GAMA’s companies have expanded their operations abroad to the Middle East, Russia, Eurasia, South East Asia, North Africa and Ireland.

GAMA has been undergoing a comprehensive restructuring process since 2002 and GAMA Holding A.Ş. was founded on June 2, 2003 where all operations were gathered under one roof within GAMA Endüstri Tesisleri İmalat ve Montaj A.Ş.
